Le Tings creates from repurposed rice bags which are carefully cut and collaged to create new designs, previously carrying 50kgs of rice, now with an outer coating of protective non toxic pvc. Each bag is one of a kind with no two bags ever being identical. Thanks to its long handles, the style can be carried as a shoulder bag and the open top allows for easy access to grab whatever you need, whenever you need it.
The ubiquitous carrier bags at every market, in every colour under the sun are known in Jamaica as ‘Scandal Bags’. Aptly named ‘Scandal’ because they are so thin people could see all of your ‘tings inside, you couldn’t hide the contents or your intentions.
