• Shroomability Organic Rye Mushroom substrate bags have a self-healing injection port & .5 micron gas exchange filter. Each bag is double heat-sealed for added protection. Order more than one and save big on delivery. We use only organic rye berries delivered directly from the farm. We make these bags to-order fresh and they easily have a 4 month shelf life before needing to use if stored in vacuum bag it comes packed in. We have tested this product shelf life and one year later this product worked 100%.
• This item is vacuum sealed to preserve freshness and shelf life. Vacuum bag also adds another layer of protection during shipment. If you want to store this unopened product for future use keep it in the refrigerator and keep it vacuum sealed.
• Ready-to-use out of the box. Our products are never sitting in a hot warehouse waiting to be sold. We don't ship with Prime because they resell returned products making for unhappy buyers. We make package and ship this amazing substrate to you asap.
• Includes a Prep Kit with nitrile gloves, alcohol swabs and face mask. We are one of the few vendors in this business that provides a prep kit with every substrate product. We believe a prep kit is a mandatory part of our substrate packaging and it saves our buyers money not having to go out and purchase these prep kit components or suffer a loss of product due to not having these when they do the inoculations.
• You can grow some mushroom strains directly from the colonized rye block. If you want to grow directly from a rye block never break up the spawn while it is colonizing because it won't come together again to form a block. Instead leave the bag alone in the upright position until fully colonized.
• To build a fruiting chamber you'll need a 50 quart size clear gasket tote container. Put 4 inches of moistened and drained perlite in the bottom to keep humidity high in the 95% range. Put a piece of foil a little larger than rye block on top of foil and place the rye block on it. You may very lightly mist the block with purfiied water. You can also dunk the colonized rye block in filtered water and roll it in fine vermiculite and then mist the vermiculite daily until pinning occurs
• Does Not Come With a Hanger. Amazon put this in the listing and it cannot be removed. We do not except returns on this product due to possible contamination of our facility but want your experience to be a positive one so contact us with any issues or concerns you may have.
